does anyone have some input on this that will improve your fps
while in a game

well, you already are using the correct openGL driver for your card...

close any programs you don't need running
turn vsync off
get a better video card
pray to the CS gods for better fps

40 GB HD
nvidia geforch 4 ti4200 128MB
monitor is ViewSonic Graphics Series G90f with 85hertz refresh rate

what is your fps like? low? high? variant?

well about almost 90-100 at ocs server standing still . and other places about 60-100 depends on the connection about 128 k with 80- 120 ping

that sounds about like what you should be getting with your specs and how much of a resource hog Steam is.
